Tiger Woods Wins At Buick- Here We Go Again…
Once again Tiger Woods began his 2008 season by opening making golf history. Despite the rain and wind Sunday at Torrey Pines Golf Course, Woods dominated the Buick Invitational by a tournament-record eight strokes for his 62nd PGA Tour victory. This win tied Woods with Arnold Palmer for fourth on the career list of most wins and moving within two wins of Ben Hogan.
Tiger Woods’s final-round score of one-under-par 71 at Torrey Pines gave him his record sixth Buick Invitational title and his fourth in a row. His total of 19 under par for 72 holes won by eight strokes over Ryuiji Imada. Woods was at 21 under par briefly but bogeyed some holes coming in. Phil Mickelson, the hometown favorite, was a non-factor as he was fighting some health issues and his game was not on par.

Too bad Phil didn’t even show up! Someone needs to step up and challenge Tiger otherwise it’s not good for the sport. I know some of you will not llike that comment but that’s my opinion. I’m personally going to watch the Super Bowl this Sunday.

Tiger’s great……..but I guess I’m a fan of competition, because I do lose interest when he’s up alot and the suspense is gone. I lose interest and watch something else. I wouldn’t pay to attend an event that the winner is heavily favored(unless it was my son or something). The events that Tiger doesn’t play are more interesting to me………I do watch those events in entirety.

Look Jack - I’m 67 - carry a 5.1 - I know a little about this game I’ve been playing for 45 years —- BUT opinions are like cars, there are lots of them.
I’ve played 10-12 of the PGA courses on TV, all over the country, as well as Scotland — I couldn’t get to my car fast enough -THEY’RE TOUGH COURSES FOR US AMATEURS !
I’ve been to 24 PGA tourmanents and followed Tiger 4 times — I’ve followed Arnie, Jack, lots of others, even Hogan once years ago ! ! !
Yeah, our equip/ball is 10 times better & records are made to be broken,
and all that ! He is just, simply, supremely conditioned and talented and
NO ONE will come near him for a long time — That’s my opinion ! ! !

It seems that we are going to have a long wait on someone who can effectively challenge for the number one spot.
Tiger is great entertainment but as the previous comments have pointed out it is nice when there is some excitement in the competition rather than just great shots by one player. Although after comments retracted by Ian Poulter of late he is going to be making a great challenge in the next few months!

[…] Enjoy Golf Again. Description The Hit E-book That Will Teach You To Put The Fun Back Into The Game You Love. Excerpt from product page Enjoy Golf Again! "You can ENJOY GOLF AGAIN…Even if it’s been a while since you had a great time on the course." Don’t give up on the game you love! We know the feeling. We get frustrated when we practice and our score doesn’t go down. We get mad when we do everything we’re supposed to do and the ball still goes in the water. Then we realized that getting mad has never solved a single problem on the golf course. But gaining perspective on how to handle those frustrations is what some of the top golfers in the world do in order to deal with them. Pros have sports psychologists, swing coaches and a stable of supporters to boost their spirits. Until now, we amateurs have either had to fork over a lot of cash for those benefits or maybe just drown our sorrows at the 19 th hole. Enjoy Golf Again is the solution to that problem. It’s a collection of common experiences and lessons in perspective from an amateur’s point of view. It’s also the beginning of a community of people who experience the same frustrations as you on a daily basis. So next time you have a bad round, flip through the book or log on to enjoygolfagain.com and see how others are dealing with the same thing that’s bothering you. 'Enjoy Golf Again' is not just some random collection of swing tips. It’s an entire book about what bothers amateurs on the golf course written by a couple of amateurs. Our suggestions are more about handling situations on the golf course, because we won’t even pretend to be qualified to teach. However, we’ve built an impressive resumé of bad shots, missed putts, blown opportunities and high scores over the years, so we’re more than qualified to offer some perspective on how to deal with them. "Golf will always have ups and downs. It's how you handle them will determine how much you enjoy the game. " But Enjoy Golf Again is more than a book about golf. It’s an introduction to an entire community of golfers who know exactly how frustrating and exhilarating one round of golf can be. It’s also you’re opportunity to be heard.
