Well there is a perfect golf swing! Problem is that no human has it! Every human has a different swing but the consistent ball strikers always return to the ball square at impact. So you have the out side to square like Fred Couples, Or you have the loop out side and then square as Trevino . Then there is Jim Furyk All of them end up square to the ball at impact no matter where they start their back swing or where it is before they start their down swing. To me then the important element in any golf swing is getting square to the ball at impact with the swing we are playing with from our own body. All golf teaching should focus on that part of the swing 80% of the time. Besides that ,you don't hit the golf ball with your back swing anyways. So where or how you end up in the back swing is not important. Teach us how to square up before impact with the swing each of us have. As for the simple swing teaching that is out there or the Stack and Tilt, Natural golf swing of Moe Norman or the Peak Performance. They all are good for a rank beginner. But those that have played for years with their own swing find most of these confusing at times. The simple swing works with a wider stance and a one piece swing. The Peak Performance works with a narrow stance with a back and up the tree back swing and up the tree follow through. The Natural Golf swing works with a wider stance (out side the shoulder stance with a palm grip and a one piece swing.) And now you have the Taly and his mind set swing ( another one piece swing teaching ) What I would like to see taught out there is taking every back swing that is possible from a human and then address the procedure of each different back swing as to how to bring the club back to square at impact from all the different back swings. Are you game to this Jack?
If you did you would be the first and only to have such a training program.
