“You’ll become so good at these “impossible” shots, your buddies will claim you get into trouble on purpose so you can show off.”
Here’s what you’ll learn in my Trouble Shots Video
I’ve circled for you guys in red the secret to my success. I was about 85 lbs. soaking wet and about 4’10″ so I couldn’t hit it a long way. I couldn’t afford a good set of irons and was missing a pitching wedge from my set. And to tell you the truth, the easiest area of my game to “fix” seemed to be hitting under, over and around all those trees on the front nine I played. And that’s it. I got better really quick because I just figured it would be easier to find out how to GET OUT of the woods instead of how NOT to get in them. My swing was wild and loose and at that age because I just loved taking a huge whack at the ball every time….still do today. And my putting pretty erratic. I had spent hours trying to practice to hit the ball straight and long and for me, I just couldn’t seem to get it done. So I spent my summer time trying to master these shots. I just realized that even if I got real good some day, I’d still be prone to hitting errant shots and landing up in jail so it would betime well spent. I don’t really know if I was right or wrong in my logic at the time but one thing I know– it worked for me and it worked VERY well. And that’s how I began to really craft my game….from the trouble out. My philosophy was “I don’t really care if it goes in the woods on the right…I’ve got that shot”. But let me tell you about this DVD. In it, I cover the nine most common troublesome situations you’re likely to run into on a course and show you how to hit your way out of them. I’ll show you which clubs to use and teach you the simple technique that will get you back to the green with the fewest strokes. It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense course on how to get out of trouble on the course. I think it’s one of the best DVDs we’ve ever done. Here’s a sample of what you’ll learn: *How to hit from a hard pan lie. Unless you’re playing in a swamp, you’ll come across plenty of these. Even the most well-maintained courses have a few hard pan spots.
I’ll show you…
- The adjustments to make from a lie that isn’t perfect.
- How to make sure the club head doesn’t bounce off the turf.
- How to avoid topping the ball and sculling it over the green.
- Why your normal swing won’t work. And how to modify it so it does.
The result? You’ll instantly hit better shots from a hard place. And that’s a lot better than being between a rock and one. *How to hit from the deep rough. This one is tough because the grass seems to be trying to reach up and grab your club. It actually does get wrapped around the hosel so you’re not just swinging the club…you’re pulling along the turf. I’ll teach you how to…
- Play the ball the way the pros do. It’s the exact opposite of what the average amateur does.
- Alter your swing to compensate for the grass-grab. Even the top pros couldn’t hit from deep rough using their normal swing. And neither could you.
